The NPPR , Non Principal Private Residents Charge on properties ran from 2009 to 2013. The charge was €200 per annum. This charge is still due if it hasn't been paid and the penalties for a single property now stand at €7,230 for the 5 years. It can crop up when house is being sold and a clearance on NPPR is required.
